Every bloom attracts visitors to Prevo
Despite Prevo being visited each year by approximately 1,300,000 tourists (according to official data from the Cinque Terre National Park based on ticket sales), Prevo is still relatively unknown on the web today. Rick Steves, for example, the renowned writer of travel guides worldwide, has never been to Prevo, and in his guides, he merely noted that it is located on the Blue Path and nothing more. The same goes for the Cinque Terre National Park, which gives it no significance.
The reason for this superficiality, I believe, lies in their inability to look beyond the ruins that this fraction of Vernazza has long represented.
Yet, it would be enough to look at the thousands of photos taken by travelers and hikers who have the luck to walk through this path to realize that Prevo is perhaps the spot most incredible of the Blue Path, with its unparalleled position.
It's only been a couple of years since someone finally noticed the unparalleled beauty of this place.
However, some people on the web incorrectly identify Prevo with the name "Punta Palma", which is nothing more than a rock located downstream approximately 50 meters below.
