The best way to visit the Cinque Terre National Park is by train. There are trains running frequently all year around between the five villages.

From March until November the local trains Cinque Terre Express running every 20 minutes and stop in Levanto, Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore and La Spezia.

A one-way ticket to your destination costs 4€. To visit more than two of the villages, we suggest you to buy the Cinque Terre Card, which costs 16 euros and includes unlimited train runs with the Cinque Terre Express trains on the La Spezia - Cinque Terre - Levanto line.
Cinque Terre Card also gives you access to all hiking trails in the Cinque Terre National Park.

You can buy train tickets and the Cinque Terre Card at every train station in Levanto, La Spezia and in every Cinque Terre villages.
Remember to validate your ticket at the green stamp machine located in the stairs on the way to the platform.

There are two types of cards available:

Cinque Terre Trekking Card: 

giving you access to the footpaths only

Cinque Terre Train Card: 

giving you access to the hiking trails together with unlimited train travel on the Cinque Terre trains

You can buy Cinque Terre Card in the ticket office in every train station in Cinque Terre, Levanto and La Spezia.

La Spezia - Riomaggiore: 9 minutes
Riomaggiore-Manarola: 4 minutes
Manarola-Corniglia: 4 minutes
Corniglia-Vernazza: 6 minutes
Vernazza-Monterosso: 6 minutes

  • Reduced admission fee to the Civic Museums in La Spezia

The card is personal. Before you use it, write your name on the back of it.

Cinque Terre Train Card includes the following services:

  • Unlimited train on the La Spezia

  • Cinque Terre - Levanto railway line.

  • Access to all trekking paths

  • Use of the bus services within the park area

  • Reduced admission fee to the Civic Museums in La Spezia.
