The Paths

For centuries, the only way to connect the five villages, as well as La Spezia and the surrounding areas, was through these ancient routes. Today, these paths are considered one of the best ways to explore and appreciate the beauty of these lands. The three main paths are suitable for moderately fit individuals who are dressed appropriately and are clearly marked by the CAI of La Spezia with red and white signs. The first path, number 1, follows the ridge that separates Val di Vara. The second path, known as the Santuari (Sanctuaries) path, connects the villages' places of worship. The third path, number 2, also known as Sentiero Azzuro (blue path), connects all five villages.

Prevo, Vernazza

The hamlet Prevo is the highest and amazing spot of "Sentiero Azzurro" (Blue Path) in halfway between Corniglia and Vernazza, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view on tuscany archipelago with the islands of Elba, Gorgona, Capraia and the Cap Corse (France).

Prevo is secluded from the hustle and bustle but also within reach of everything you need.

Prevo is located in the municipality of Vernazza, in the most panoramic peak of the Sentiero Azzurro at 208 meters above sea level.

The villages

The Cinque Terre it is a coastal area within Liguria, in the northwest of Italy. It lies in the west of La Spezia Province, and comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Monterosso al Mare
The biggest of the five towns, offers the most amenities and is a perfect choice for beach-lovers. With the only sandy beach in the area, visitors can rent chairs, umbrellas, or even a kayak to explore the numerous coves along the coast.
The town also boasts plenty of shops, aperitivo bars, and seafood restaurants in its charming old town and along the promenade.
Compared to the other villages, this one is relatively flat, making it easier for visitors to navigate and explore all that the town has to offer.

Vernazza
It is often considered the most picturesque of the villages in Italy, recognized as one of the most beautiful. This traditional fishing village boasts colorful Ligurian houses and charming boats floating in the small harbor.

It is a nice spot for witnessing sunsets. Behind the rocks lies a pebble beach, situated not far from the boat docking area. The harbor is home to several companies that provide boat and kayak rentals, in addition to offering boat tours.

Within our properties, a votive shrine has been established in honor of Blessed Maria Gabriella Sagheddu, who is a maternal relative of our family.

She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1983 for Christian unity and in 2018 Pope Francis cited her as an example of giving one's life for the cause of Christian unity in the apostolic exhortation "Gaudete et Exsultate".

The owners of this house, descendants in the maternal line of the Beata Maria Gabriella Sagheddu, have decided to build a votive shrine in Prevo, in the municipality of Vernazza.

This property had even more “wow” factor than we anticipated. The gorgeous scenery captivated our attention both from the outdoor chairs and again from the higher lookout location with a cold beverage. The host was excellent with communication and was waiting for us when we arrived at the train station.

We sought a serene environment to rejuvenate, and our needs were met splendidly. We appreciated the opportunity to rest while enjoying a stunning view. The presence of nature was ever-present, and the local cats were delightful. We extend our gratitude to Pietro for picking us up in Corniglia after a long day of exploration, as well as for preparing a basket of fruit from the garden, which we used to make our morning juice.

We had an amazing time in leo’s lodge. Pietro was a great host. The place is so nice and brings you somewhere else compared to any other place. But the blue path is so nice and it’s nice because you’re away from the more touristic areas. We bought our vegetables from Pietro’s garden every night to cook our dinner. It was a really nice experience!
